4 The Film King Richard Was About Venus And Serena's Father

In September 2021, after more than a year of filming because of the Covid-19 delay, the film King Richard which is about Serena and Venus' father's life, was premiered. Will Smith made sure that Venus and Serena were part of the film's production as much as they could, which meant they would see through filming and give necessary details as executive producers to Will, who played King Richard.

However, despite the fantastic reviews of the movie, an author still criticized how the biopic was told as she believes the film focused more on Venus and Serena's life. However, the film was still named after the legendary Venus and Serena's father instead of them.

3 Venus And Serena's Sisters Keep Them Humble

In an Instagram post by Serena Williams with a picture of her together with her sisters, she captions, "I [Serena Willians] love this photo because we [her sisters] have a close bond. This [her sisters] is what keeps me humble. They [Serena's sisters] are not afraid to tell me anything. After all, I am the youngest of five."

Also featured in the King Richard film, King Richard himself was serious in teaching the girls the importance of humility despite all their success.

2 Isha Price Knew Venus And Serena Were Going To Be Successful

In an Interview Isha had with The Telegraph, she said, "Us older girls knew that Venus and Serena [Williams] were going to be successful from when they were nine or ten because they [Venus and Serena] enjoyed it [playing tennis] so much. We just believed it would happen, even though tennis wasn't a part of the community we grew up in."

Venus and Serena's sisters also watched out for them, especially when receiving hateful comments from people telling them they weren't enough. To help them have a positive mindset, their sisters would ask them not to read newspapers to avoid adding more pressure.

1 Serena Williams Was Jealous Of Venus Growing Up

Aside from Venus' early access to professional coaches, exposure to tennis tournaments, and media attention, Serena was also jealous of her older sister's physique.
