Rebecca Minkoff Gives Birth: Designer Introduces Daughter Bowie Lou

Precious cargo! Designer Rebecca Minkoff is a mother once more after welcoming her second child this week. 

Minkoff, 33, gave birth to daughter Bowie Lou Bellour on Monday, Aug. 4. The fashion star shared a photo via Instagram of the gorgeous newborn, with a peek of her husband Gavin Bellour‘s face in the corner of the shot. 

“Welcome Bowie Lou Bellour!” Minkoff captioned the shot. “8 lbs 2 oz! #happymonday.” 

The handbag maven and her actor love were married in Italy in June 2009 after being set up years prior by a mutual friend. In September 2011, Minkoff gave birth to their first child, son Luca Shai.

While pregnant with Bowie Lou, Minkoff celebrated Mother’s Day this past May by reflecting on motherhood. She said in an interview on her personal website that the best part of being a mom is “that everyday I get to hang out with my best friend who makes me laugh and continues to astound me with how much joy life can have.”

She added what she was looking forward to with the birth of her daughter: “With a girl, I’m most excited because now someone can wear all my hand-me-downs!”
