Natalie Portman Looks Like a Bouquet of Pink Azaleas In This Minidress

Publish date: 2024-07-13

Natalie Portman looked like a bouquet of flowers in bloom as she stepped out from her car and onto the red carpet yesterday for a preview screening of her miniseries Lady in the Lake.

The actor made her grand arrival at the Paley Museum in New York City in a coral-pink minidress entirely made up of cutouts that looked like graphic versions of beautiful azaleas. The pink flowers swirled around Portman’s body, wrapping her up. Underneath, a clear, see-through mesh fabric let her skin peek through.

The artful minidress was held up at the shoulders by long velvet tie straps in a deep Cabernet red. Ever the minimalist, the May December star let the piece take the spotlight, and paired it only with strappy gold platform heels from Aquazzura, white diamond studs by Fred Leighton, and a dainty diamond ring. The actor wore natural rosy makeup, including a berry lip, a red manicure, and a nude pedicure, and had her caramel hair down in easy waves.

Apple TV+ limited series Lady in the Lake is based on the novel of the same name by Laura Lippman. The story “takes place in ’60s Baltimore, where an unsolved murder pushes housewife and mother Maddie Schwartz (Portman) to reinvent her life as an investigative journalist and sets her on a collision course with Cleo Sherwood (Moses Ingram), a hardworking woman juggling motherhood, many jobs and a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda,” per IMDb.
