Courtney Stodden Tells Us: Yes, I'm Donating Sex Tape Profits to Chari
All for the animals? Courtney Stodden made headlines this week when news broke that she released a sex tape. The reality star confirmed in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly, however, that the profits from the sales of the explicit tape are going to charity.
"As you may know — based on my affiliation with groups like PETA, etc., and being a strict vegetarian — I'm a staunch supporter of animal rights," Stodden, 20, tells Us. "I also have an interest in helping children [and their families] who are contending with cancer."
"It's my privilege to be able to lend myself to various causes that are dear to my heart," she continues. "Our precious innocent animals and children in need deserve our endless love and attention! As for my donation, I'm considering several charities and haven't decided on which one[s] specifically."

According to Vivid Entertainment, which released the video, Stodden made $1 million from the release, accepting the offer because she decided "she would give the money away to charity."
The tape is just the latest in a long series of headline-making moments for the young woman. She rose to fame in 2011, when, at the age of 16, she married the 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison. Now 54, Hutchison appeared with Stodden on Couples Therapy in 2012, going on to continue his relationship with his much younger wife.
